Visiting Cousin Xander in Monrovia...

Last Wednesday, Cairo and I flew down to Southern California to meet Cairo's new cousin Xander. I went over to Heather's and helped her out on Wednesday and Thursday. Then, Heather and Xander came over to spend the weekend with us while Paul was out of town. I got my first taste at what it would be like to have two kids... juggling a new born and appeasing a one year old. All in all, though, it wasn't as hectic as I thought is might be. Here is my cute little nephew-

Xander is a big boy and already weighs more than Cairo did at 7 weeks. His feet are almost as long as Cairo's as well. Cairo likes her new cousin, but doesn't quite know what to do with him. She just smiles at him and gives him pat-pats on his bottom. I know she can't wait for him to get a little bigger so that she can show him how to play in the dirt and throw the ball for the dog.

While in Monrovia, Cairo discovered the rocking chair Heather, Danny, and I used when we were little. She spends a more time on her feet than her knees these days and loved using the rocking chair as a walker so that she could get around the living room.

did when she got to
