The Morning

During the school year (late August to early June), Cairo is usually asleep when I leave for work. This summer, it has been nice getting Cairo up and spending the mornings with her. Many times, she is in the best mood of the day during the first two hours she's awake.

Cairo has been sleeping in until 9am most of the days this summer. Every once in a while Erik likes to sleep in like Cairo. So, I have been enjoying getting up and having a few hours in the morning all to myself where I get to check my e-mail or get a few things done.

One of Cairo's first thoughts in the morning is "ba-ba." Cairo is starting to transition her from the bottle to the sippy cup, but at this point, her morning bottle is a must. Here is Cairo enjoying her morning bottle on the dining room floor, along with the bunny she took from her toy basket sometime between when she went to bed and when she woke up (maybe we should move her toy basket farther from her crib) and her very own remote (that goes to absolutely nothing).
