For New Year's eve we had family and friends over for cheese fondue. Erik made the fondue, as well as prepared bread, meat, and apples to dip into it. We all sat around our new kotatsu table that Erik put together using an old coffee table and a heating element Nick and Kyoko brought back with them from Japan. The kotatsu table was something Erik and I discovered when visiting Nick and Kyoko in the middle of the winter four years ago. It is a heated table with a blanket over it. You tuck your legs underneath it and keep nice and toasty warm.
Jonah got a chance to play with Lili, only two weeks his senior, and Cairo spent some time with her Grandpa Lee watching 101 Dalmations.
I didn't mean to stay up until midnight, but I did. Unfortunately for me, though, Jonah wanted to start the new year with a bang.... at 2:30 am. Needless to say, I started the new year tired!
(Thanks for the pictures Katie B! :o)
