On Valentine's Day Cairo woke up to a special surprise. All of the artwork she had been creating in the weeks prior to Valentine's Day I saved. The after she went to bed, Erik and I taped it all up in the dining room, along with red streamers. I placed a red table cloth and pink flowers on the table. We planned on only leaving the decorations up for the day, but they were so fun and cheerful, we decided to keep them up for a few days.
For breakfast, Erik made the kids heart-shaped pancakes. Cairo had school that morning, where we sent pink cupcakes with herat-shaped strawberries on top for her class party.
Grammy bought the kids balloons to play with. Jonah LOVED his! Look at that smile! :o)
