Each summer seems to bring a plethora of inside and outside projects. So, what did we do this summer?
- Painted the guest room and turned it into Jonah's room.
- Painted the family room to a color that was a little calmer.
This picture was taken right after we painted it 4 1/2 years ago. The color wasn't quite what I was expecting....
And the brown accent wall
After:
- Took control of our yard again- bye, bye weeds! (But this is a never ending process and the weeds will fight their way back)
After:
- Bought and installed a new water heater.
- Moved the stupid, ugly scrap wood pile. (Erik is probably grumbling at this statement as he reads it)
After:
- Bought several yards of rock and soil and created three new planter beds around the yard.... and we put flowers in them.

- Fenced in the backyard to keep the deer out.
The temporary gate (Erik had fun with this)
Found this one the hill. Erik is going to put it on the gate to tell the deer to beware!
- Stripped (pretty much to the wood), primed, and painted the shed to match the house.
After:
- Put together Cairo and Jonah's new swing-set.
While Erik did the majority of the outside work, I did the majority of the inside stuff, plus we has to keep two little trouble makers busy all summer long. Summer I will miss you. Luckily, I get to go back to a job I love. The only thing that would make the end of the summer better is if I got to stay home instead of traveling southward.
