This year Cairo has had another extended birthday. First, we celebrated with family down in Monrovia. Grammy went a little out of control when it came to buying Cairo clothes... but she and I had a lot of fun in the process. Cairo was pretty happy with her new presents.

Then, as a family of four, we celebrated her actual birthday together, followed the next night with dinner and presents with Grandpa Lee and Ba-chan. Our original plans for her second birthday fell through when Cairo, Erik, and Jonah all came down with snotty noses. So, we took it easy instead of going out and doing the various activities we originally planned on. Erik and Cairo did take a trip to Redwood Park to play on the playground, but other than that we opened presents in the morning, had a special birthday pizza picinic (at Cairo's request) on the kitchen floor, and ate smores out at the firepit. Cairo seemed to enjoy the day, buggars running down her face and all!
