Oh, Jonah

My little J Bear makes me smile.  I wish I had the ability to capture little sound clips of Cairo and Jonah's laughter, comments, and mispronunciations.  Jonah's "Rs" sound like "Ws" and drops "Ss" at the start of a work if it is followed by another consonant except for the letter "L."  It's 'top instead of stop, 'tool instead of stool, (my favorite) 'quash instead of squash, and wabbit instead of rabbit, etc.  He can say slip, slime, and sail just fine.  I don't do a good enough job at writing things down, but here are a few things via my Jonah bear-

Looking through a page in his practice book
J: Who drew this picture?... oh, it's probably me cause its got 'cribbles.

Jonah mumbled something to me
Me: Jonah did you just call me a grumpy troll?
Jonah: No, Mommy. I called you a grumpy OLD troll.

Probably my favorite things he said all summer...
Jonah and Cairo playing in the backyard, running across the grass.  Breathing heavily from the exertion, Jonah says to Cairo, "Let's play Princess and Dragon. I'll be the princess and you can be the dragon.  K, Sissy?"  I love that he wants to be a princess, too.
