This past week Cairo and Jonah went in for dental and health check-ups. Cairo is a pro at going to the dentist. In fact, when it comes to her dental hygiene it is very evident that she has dentist (her great grandpa) running through her blood. She loves to floss and would brush her teeth ten times a day if you let her. She is and always has been well behaved at the dentist- opens her mouth wide and sits still the whole time. To top it off, she was such a good girl through her entire cleaning that the her dentist, Dr. Munoz, thought she could handle coming in twice a year instead of just once. Cairo was pretty excited.
We weren't so sure how Jonah would do. He tends to clamp is mouth tightly shut whenever I try to look around in there for a new tooth... and he is very stubborn about it. Surprisingly, Jonah let Dr. Munoz look around and do a fluoride polish.
A few days later Erik took Cairo and Jonah for their 1 and 3 year old check-ups. Both kids required shots and Erik was a one man show. What a brave Daddy to take BOTH kids for those shots. Jonah and Cairo a doing great and they are right on track. Here are their latest stats:
Jonah-
length- 30 1/2 in (25-30 percentile)
weight- 20 lb 3.5 oz (25-50th percentile)
head- HUGE (99th percentile)
Cairo-
height- 36 1/2 in (not sure that this was completely accurate)
weight- 29.5 lbs
