The Dentist

Cairo went in yesterday to have her teeth cleaned. Cairo did an amazing job. The night before we practiced how she was going to open her mouth and talked about how her Dentist, Dr. Munoz (and Grammy's boss), was going to look for buggies. She was pretty excited going into it.

Cairo sat down on the chair, opened her mouth wide, and was, amazingly, able to get a full cleaning. Dr. Munoz got a good look at her teeth, scraped some plaque off, buffed and flossed her teeth. Cairo sat still the whole time and opened her mouth wide when asked. Her favorite part is a toss up between the fun sunglasses she wore, the vacuum that sucks out her spit, and the yummy cherry flavored gloves Dr. Munoz wore.

After the appointment Cairo got to pick some toys out of a treasure box, got stickers, and a goody bag of toothpaste, fun flossers, and a new Tigger toothbrush.

Life

Here are some pictures we've taken throughout this past month of life in general. Cairo and Xander spend a lot of time together and are starting to play with each other more and more. Due to the fact that Xander had caught up with Cairo in weight (Cairo still has several inches on him in height) they are pretty evenly matched wrestling partners. They roll over each other, try to sit on one another, take toys out of each other's hands, hug, kiss, and laugh and tickle each other (well, Cairo tickles Xander).

The Dogs

Cairo loves Sienna and Guinness. She is getting more and more comfortable crawling around with them. Cairo had dirty slimy hands from breakfast. We teased her and told her that Guinness had to lick her hands clean... well, she thought that was a great thought and the joke turned into reality. Once her hands were licked, she made sure to cuddle with both dogs. (FYI- Yes, she isn't wearing pants... we were also working on potty training)

Mother's Day

This year I celebrated my 2nd Mother's Day. I wish that I can say Cairo made me breakfast in bed, let me sleep in, was on her best behavior, and spent all day telling me how much she loved me... but, then you have to remember that she is two and has no idea what Mother's Day really is. I happen, though, to have a fabulous mother who did an amazing job taking care of me- making a yummy breakfast, organizing a yummy dinner, and being the worker bee that she always is. I will definitely have to pay her back next year for all she did for me this year.

Cairo did tell me she loved me, gave me hugs and kisses, made me a special present, and played in her pool (maybe that was for her, but I enjoyed seeing her get her Uncle Paul all wet!).

Screaming!!!! Ahhhhhh!!

Cairo likes to scream. Sometimes she just screams because she thinks it's funny. On this particular day she kept screaming and screaming and screaming. By the time we thought to take the camera out she was just about done. By this time Erik had placed his ear plugs into his ears.

Dancing, Singing Xander

Xander was hanging out with us yesterday evening while his Mommy caught up on a few things at work. To entertain him, Grandpa took out the singing donkey named "La Bamba." Xander not only wanted to attack the singing stuffed animal and slobber all over it, but he also wanted to join in on the singing and dancing fun.
