Big Head

We went to the doctor last Friday and here are Cairo's 9 month stats:

Weight: 19 lb. 1 oz.
50th percentile

Height: 27 3/4 inches (I think she is a little longer than that, though)
50th percentile

Head size: HUGE
90th percentile

Her current vocabulary:
Dog
Dada
Mama (sometimes)
Duck
Hi/Bye (the same)
Good Dog (I am skeptical, but I have heard her say it a few times)
no-no-no-no-no-no

She is an expert crawler, is getting into EVERYTHING, knows what "no" means (but smiles and does whatever she wants anyway)

Bedtime: 8pm
wakes up: 6:30 am
Naps: morning and afternoon
Has daily walks with dad
LOVES to read books
Will sing and dance (like a baby does)
Still LOVES to bounce
Eats chunky food (but still not completely solid, yet)
Recently started to eat meat, strawberries, and tomatoes (loves them all)
Has breakfast, lunch, and dinner and self feeds herself formula from her bottle

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall

Who's the cutest of them all?
Cairo Raine, of course (what else do you expect her mother to say?)

Cairo loves that baby in the mirror... she especially loves to give it kisses!

Cairo's First Easter

For Easter Cairo and I (and my parents, Heather, Paul, and Peanut "Der" Hazen) went up to my grandparents house up in Santa Maria. Erik got some much needed time to relax, surf, and wash the car! Though us kids are all grown up and I have one of my own, my mom just HAS to do the egg hunt. So, after a yummy breakfast, we all went out in search of the eggs hidden throughout the backyard. We had to pull Heather back from stealing all of Cairo's eggs that were "hidden" on the grass. That girl will do anything for a buck or two! (Did I mention that the Easter Bunny bring us eggs full of quarters and dollar bills?)

Here are several pictures of Cairo enjoying her eggs. You may notice a few outfit changes- Grandpa spilled a few drops of coffee on Cairo's dress while keeping her from eating the grass, so we took it off and replaced it with a dress my Grandma Biggle brought me back from Switzerland when I was a baby.

Strawberries

Spring has arrived... that means that strawberries are on their way. During the past weekend, we went up to my Nana and Papa's house. My Papa knows where to find the very best strawberries and made sure that we had plenty to enjoy. Here is Cairo having her very first taste of a real strawberry... and putting those two front teeth to use.

Crusin'

On weekdays between the hours of 10 and 11 (in the morning) you can see Cairo and her daddy cruising the streets of Monrovia in their all terrain vehicle. Cairo has a great time doing the steering and honking the horn.

Photos at Manhattan Beach

A few months back my mom saw pictures a patient of hers had done by a fabulous photographer. We tried to book the photographer to take pictures of Cairo the our small family back in October, but she was booked through the new year. So, we finally got an appointment this past Sunday and took pictures at the Manhattan Beach Pier. Our normally happy and smiley baby was crabby and clingy. Go figure... spending good money on good pictures and we have a grumpy baby. The photographer was great and we did get Cairo to give us a smile here and there. Here is a sneak peak picture she sent us today. I LOVE IT!
